Diversant, I ripped this from a physical copy I own. If this is not the quality you expected, I'm afraid it won't get any better.

Thanks for ripping it with EAC log, tho for future rips you should do minor tweaks in settings so that logs would have:

Defeat audio cache : Yes
Gap handling : Appended to previous track

Thank you all for your patience and advice.
I re-ripped the CD again, this time using the recommended settings.
Appart from the fact that the CD is not in CTDB yet, so tracks don't appear with their final names on the log, this rip should now be closer than ever to what you were originally expecting.

Yep, better now, thanks again. Tho ofc it's mostly purist stuff, audio's bit-by-bit identical to your previous version.
Also even in split track rip scenario EAC can generate non compliant CUE file which can be used to fully restore original image file (sometimes there's silence or even hidden track, called htoa, before track 1 and without cue just merging tracks into 1 file won't get you a completely identical to original image) or burn completely identical copy of the CD (very unlikely these days but still), so ideally it shouldn't be ignored/discarded
