I had a moment of joy seeing the filled status

:'(

These Mid-Town compilations were removed from WEB shops years ago for obvious reasons. Why'd BC suddenly manage to find 'em in the end of year 2015 in lossless that'd allow to get a proper encode with latest lame v3.99.5? Almost every track of MIDDIG002/003 can be found at WEB compilations (like "Thunderdome The Final Exam", "Oldschool Hardcore Vol. 2", "The Best Of Neophyte Records Vol. 1" (NEOCD19)) and WEB singles (Rotterdam Recs, Rotterdam Recs Special, Rotterdam Classics, Forze, Terror Traxx, Neophyte) but there're some exceptions like:
*track 6 at MIDDIG002 = the only full-length alternative is FORZE1 WEB and if it ever existed then highly unlikely it'd be encoded with lame v3.99.5. Some natively tagged by juno.co.uk (exactly from MIDDIG002 one) track's version was shared at corebay within Forze records' label pack before but guess what? It's encoded with older juno's typical lame v3.96. The (actual) quality is still like 128 kbps but judging by other FORZE1 tracks' quality (from lossless CD rips) looks like this exact release was never ripped/digitalised properly :(
*track 4 at MIDDIG003 = ROT001 WEB has worse quality than ROT101 CDM rip.
But lossless WEBs would definitely require buying, while 320 kbps WEBs usually come for free; also audio spectrums prove these MP3s were initially encoded with older lame versions. So BC never bought/got the compilations as they were sold in the shops, just picked separate MP3 tracks from different sources/releases and then MP3-MP3 re-encoded them with their usual settings to make 'em look like originated from the same source. Like most BC's other "exclusive" releases.

many bc/velocity is reencoded shit from cd/soundcloud/vinyl to 320

so what you really are saying is BC/Velocity are faggots.

Can't talk about each and every HCC/VELOCiTY's releases but e.g. recent Rotterdam WEBs are ok - either encoded from lossless streaming services or picked from Google Play - of course both options came for free to 'em (if properly purchased it'd total to at least a couple of hundreds of euros), so it just involved bit of sorting and tagging.
Regarding MIDDIG002/003: I'd probably change my opinion that BC actually might got their hands at original MP3 compilations (they were once available at juno.co.uk, hardtunes, beatport, got same 2 misnamed tracks with exactly same length) but alas the compilations were still nubishly (not dramatically but completely unnecessary) fckd up by MP3-MP3 re-encoding :( Yet, as I wrote, only few tracks are of real value/really rare and even less got proper 320 kbps quality.
BC seem to buy releases _sometimes_ but I doubt they bother to pay extra for lossless and since majority of their MP3 releases are encoded with custom lame v3.99.5 settings (that no WEB shop sells MP3 with) it's very likely they stick to re-encoding everything "for fun". And ofc they never owned or ripped a single vinyl (probably CD too), it's almost a guaranteed re-encode from some older low bitrate vinyl rips/random tracks picked from label packs or other ppl' shares at Soulseek - everything seems to be game for 'em if there's no scene release for a label's catalogue number, just to consider a label "complete" with proper-looking (with nfo & sfv) "releases". Dunno why BC can't just retag stuff w/o messing with audio stream itself :S

To the person who called derogatory names, You don't have to resort to that, but I can understand why people would be ticked off.

You are totally correct. BC and others do this often and I rather just buy it. I can bust out audacity and do the same thing. why would I need to download from them for?

Rip awful quality music doesn't deserve some kind of trophy or pat on the back, but making money from downloads will make one greedy and will do anything to keep that stream coming in.

I can't think of a logical explanation as to why one would do such stupid things for?
