Ok, will try to restore that message in the deleted ROUGH144 request:

admin + some more people commented on the releases (shared by HS) being upscales:

I couldn't find where JEEX_-_My_Life_(Extended_Mix)-(K1R080)-WEB-FLAC-2020-HS was shared.
Even if you don't trust anyone (HS in this case), freqs' cut by low-pass filter at 20,5 kHz is not the only and sufficient sign of upscale + there's always scene radio edit available and you can upscale it and check the difference. The releases listed above are "not perfect" flacs, for various reasons they were just released this way. Yes they do have noticeable freq's drop _somewhere_ near that default for 320 kbps 20,5 kHz line but it's not that rough and complete if it was a plain "homemade" upscale from mp3. Frequencies BELOW 20,5 kHz should also be considered and I made a spectrum comparison for ROUGHR070 (org.mix uploaded by HS vs. FMC radio edit upscaled to wav) because it was the "worst case" of all these releases:

So HS could even succeed in getting a refund for this release, the freq's cut idd looks bad but below it there're no typical signs of mp3 compression.

+advised admin to use "sox.exe -n remix 1" option to downmix tracks to mono for spectrum visual's generation (instead of dupe of 2nd audio channel you can get more details) since he posted spectrums made by this tool
