Hey Alpha Flight 1970....these are not the Original Mixes. On Hardtunes they are longer.

Oh, sorry. RED used to buy original mixes in the past, so I thought..

Also:
1) 48 kHz sampling rate (like every latest almost RED's release, even regular/not _INT) = almost guaranteed upsample from typical 44,1 KHz of wav/mp3 that WEB shops sell;
2) Lame 3.100 encoder used. Hardtunes (nor any other shop I know) sell MP3s encoded with it and even if they got lossless (since these are actually radio edits then it can be free deezer's ones, np) and encode it themselves then scene rules restrict to use VBR -V0, not 320 kbps:
"1.2. For ALL sources that need encoding (CD, VINYL, DVD, BLU-RAY,
WEB-WAV, SBD, CABLE, SAT, LINE, etc.):
You must use LAME 3.100 with preset V0 ("-V0") without any
additional switches that would affect the mp3 quality"

Scene rules could be easily circumvented by downloading FLAC from Deezer and encoding them to VBR, but it's easier to just donwload MP3, throw it in morgoth and be done with it as barely anyone in the scene cares about rules. It's not worth checking every single file and writing a wot about it as again, nobody will care about it.

> downloading FLAC from Deezer and encoding them to VBR
..which'd be completely legit as this way the source turns to be completely unidentifiable and these VBRs might even be useful if non-scene 320 kbps wasn't publicly shared. Ofc if it's about WEB shop exclusives/non-edits, not deezer edits
> easier to just download MP3, throw it in morgoth and be done with it
Deezer pre-encoded (i.e. downloaded as) mp3s are identifiable, different vs. Google Play downloads/rips - Google Play mp3s don't use so called "bit reservoir" (maybe to avoid potential problems when streaming, dunno) and the most obvious way to see it is to pack these mp3s and find out they Google Play ones have ~92% compression ratio while usual/default settings (incl. Deezer ones) have ~100% ratio (as is expected from a lossy encoder).
RED doesn't follow this usual and simple script d/l-retagging path if they bother to resample and pick deezer FLACs (I hope they don't reencode deezer mp3s, lol)
> barely anyone in the scene cares about rules ... nobody will care about it
That's universal sad true/rule. Which means there's no scene group reputation to blindly rely on, every friggin' release had to be checked for lengths, upscales, proper cat# and every other fuckup imaginable, because even Google Play ripping turns out to be too complex :(
