The spalmidon is the first sonic universe composed by electro acoustic generators capable of reproducing and evoluting. These generators constitute the elements of a population. They have the ability to move within a temporal space, to be transformed and to be merged with other generators, in order to reproduce and to finally die.During their existence, some of them will be affected by dramatic mutations (distortions, delay) modifying their harmonic spectrum, but adding new colors to the whole spalmidon. Some others will become parasites by hijacking the sound functions of their congeners to their advantage.
All of these mechanisms allows the constitution of a new artificial life form: the spalmidon.”
